On the 9th of March Ben Foxall went down to Kent to take part in his second fight representing The Bonsai Black Belt Academy.

Ufortunatly due to Lydia’s son being ill and me being stuck at work neither of us were abale to attend. Fourtunatly Assisstant Instructor and our resident fighting expert Harry Houghton was able to step in and went with Ben to the event.

The fight consisted on 3 rounds lasting 1 minute each. This may not sound like a long time but it can drain your energy quite quickly. During this the judge on the sidelines scores the Fighter on clean combinations of strikes, range of legal movements and other things. After the 3 rounds are up the judge gives the result as either a win for one fighter or a draw.

On this occasion Ben was unlucky to not walk away with the win but as always he was humble in defeat and held his head high already looking towards his next fight.
